A new fine-dining restaurant is opening in downtown Louisville.

Monk's Road Boiler House, a luxury-style chophouse from Log Still Distillery, is expected to open on Wednesday, July 17.

Log Still Distillery, a Nelson County-based operation, will celebrate the opening of the long-awaited spot this week at 131 W. Main St., according to a news release shared with the Courier Journal. The location was previously the site of a longtime Bearno’s Pizza restaurant.

The menu is curated by Chef Ciro Matteo Pirozzi and highlights Monk’s Road's spirits. The two-level venue will offer fine dining cuisine on the upper level and a speakeasy bar on the lower level for tastings and bourbon experiences.

The restaurant will build on Log Still’s recently-opened “bourbon resort,” as Log Still president and distiller Wally Dant calls it, which includes an outdoor amphitheater, wedding and event venue, bed-and-breakfast options, and a farm-to-table eatery.

“It allows us to extend our brand to another part of the state,” Dant previously told the Courier Journal.
