    From Louisville high schools to college football rosters. Where area players are headed

    The Louisville area is known for producing college football talent.

    Male High School offensive lineman Spike Sowells , the top recruit in Louisville in the Class of 2025, is expected to announce his commitment Thursday. He is considering Kentucky, N.C. State, South Carolina and Miami.Here is a list of where Class of 2024 seniors are scheduled to play this fall.

    Players are listed alphabetically and with name of high school and college/university.

    Coryon Alston, Manual, Marian

    Coryon Alston is headed to Marian to play football and run track. Alston had 30 receptions (good for third on the team) for 457 yards (second best) and scored three touchdowns.

    Santana Crayton, PRP, Tennessee State

    Santana Crayton was a threat as a runner and pass catcher at Pleasure Ridge Park and earned a scholarship to play for Tennessee State. As a senior, Crayton rushed for 108 yards on 19 carries and scored two touchdowns. He also caught five passes for 82 yards and scored one TD.

    Shammai Gates, Male, Louisville

    Shammai Gates is headed to Louisville as a preferred walk-on. Gates shifted to running back as a senior, running for 869 yards on 131 carries and scoring 19 touchdowns. He also caught four passes for 70 yards.

    Carter Guillaume, St. Xavier, Southeast Missouri State

    Carter Guillaume committed to Southeast Missouri State in July 2023. He anchored an offensive line that passed for 1,928 yards and 19 touchdowns and ran for 2,114 yards and 30 touchdowns. Guillaume also won back-to-back state wrestling titles at 285 pounds.

    Nick Hamilton, South Oldham, Hanover College

    Nick Hamilton , who was South Oldham's quarterback, had 945 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior. He also totaled 781 passing yards and 11 touchdowns.

    Isaiah Hare, Bullitt East, Eastern Illinois

    Defensive lineman Isaiah Hare is headed to Eastern Illinois after leading the Chargers to a state title in 2022. He collected 29 tackles, including six for loss, and five sacks as a senior.

    Cole Hodge, CAL, East Carolina

    Quarterback Cole Hodge, the reigning Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year, is headed to East Carolina in January after undergoing surgery . Hodge led CAL to back-to-back state championships. As a senior, he threw for 4,104 yards and 57 touchdowns and ran for 625 yards and 10 touchdowns.

    Kayden Jenkins, Bullitt East, Rose-Hulman

    Defensive lineman Kayden Jenkins signed to play for Rose-Hulman after winning a state title in 2022. Jenkins contributed 15 solo tackles, including two for loss, and two sacks as a senior.

    Ashton Jones, St. Xavier, Southeast Missouri State

    Ashton Jones is joining Guillaume at Southeast Missouri State and will play on the defensive line. He recorded 11 tackles for loss and two sacks for St. Xavier, which went 8-4 and lost to Trinity in the second round of the Class 6A playoffs.

    Chris Jones, Manual, Louisville

    Chris J ones , who played nose guard for Manual and was voted All-District, is headed to Louisville as a walk-on. As a senior, he had 54 tackles, three sacks, one fumble recovery and a blocked field goal.

    Kaden Lewis, Ballard, Ohio Dominican

    Defensive tackle Kaden Lewis will play for Ohio Dominican. He collected 24 solo tackles, including three for loss, and two sacks as a senior.

    Tommy Rosenbarger, St. Xavier, Thomas More

    Tommy Rosenbarger helped anchor an offensive line that helped produce 1,928 passing yards and 19 touchdowns and 2,114 rushing yards and 30 touchdowns. Rosenbarger will play for Thomas More.

    Kolter Smith, Male, Georgetown College

    Quarterback Kolter Smith is headed to Georgetown College after leading Male to an 11-2 record as a first-year starter. Smith threw for 2,447 yards and 34 touchdowns.

    Journey Wyche, Ballard, Tennessee-Chattanooga

    Running back Journey Wyche led Ballard to a 10-4 record last season and is headed to Tennessee-Chattanooga. He rushed for 1,431 yards on 179 carries and scored 22 touchdowns. He also threw two touchdown passes and caught 11 passes for 263 yards and three touchdowns.
