Daily Briefing: Marty Pollio's latest evaluation is in

Pollio in the spotlight: Jefferson County Schools Superintendent Marty Pollio received a largely positive evaluation from the Jefferson County School Board Tuesday note, but board members offered some criticism of the busing crisis that put Louisville under a harsh national spotlight last August.

The evaluation, released after Tuesday's meeting of the Jefferson County School Board, gave Pollio the second lowest possible rating on the board's scale for his leadership skills, a designation he hasn't received since 2019. Board members said the ongoing busing issues have left them "concerned with the consistency and depth of the district's efforts to address the crisis," but also praised Pollio on his work toward overall academic progress for JCPS.
