Folk rock legend Neil Young will not be performing at the Bourbon & Beyond festival due to illness, as announced by the festival on June 26 via X, formerly known as Twitter. FDA approves Eli Lilly's Alzheimer's drug, local organizations respond
LOUISVILLE, KY — After having been endorsed by the FDA in early June, donanemab, an Alzheimer's medication, was approved by the FDA on July 2. Donanemab treats people living with early symptomatic Alzheimer’s disease, which includes mild cognitive impairment and the mild dementia stage of Alzheimer’s disease, with confirmed amyloid plaques. According to the Alzheimer's Association, donanemab is the third approval of an Alzheimer’s treatment that changes the underlying course of the disease.

Crystal Rogers case; judge makes decision on Steve Lawson’s charges
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — On the ninth anniversary of her disappearance, there is an update in the Crystal Rogers case. Trial will move forward for one of the three men charged in the disappearance of Crystal Rogers. Defendant Steve Lawson filed a motion for his charges to be dismissed, claiming he was promised immunity when he talked to police. But a judge has ruled his statements and information were inconsistent and he did not meet the prosecutor’s requirements for the immunity agreement.
