Louisville’s Rick Black Photography finished as the Ohio Hot Stove Baseball E League state runner-up after a weekend of tournament games at Alliance’s Butler Rodman Park.

The team of 17- and 18-year-olds lost the final game, 15-9, on Sunday afternoon to Grafton General Plug after qualifying for the game earlier Sunday.

Rick Black Photography and Grafton General Plug also faced off in the qualifier Sunday morning. Rick Black won that game at 9 a.m. Sunday, 14-7.

Rick Black Photography entered the state semifinal after winning a loser’s bracket game against Alliance American Legion 166, the E League tournament’s top seed, on Saturday.

Interestingly, Grafton General Plug also defeated Alliance American Legion 166, on July 14, to qualify for the state semifinal game.
