Lilly Tench promotes new lab space for Spark Innovation Center. Additional space will become available when Innovation South opens in late 2024. As Lilly Tench began her presentation late Thursday afternoon at the monthly “Innovation Crossroads Founders Forum,” she quipped that the Spark Innovation Center was launched in 2020 which was “a really good time.” It was obviously a reference to the COVID-19 pandemic.
1 suspect in THP-involved shooting captured in KY; Reward for info about shooter raised to $20K
One of the suspects wanted for his connection to a shooting that left a Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) trooper injured has been captured in Kentucky, but now the reward for information that leads to the shooter's arrest has been increased.

FAFSA Clinics Next Week Supporting UC Families
The Tennessee Higher Education Commission is offering free FAFSA clinics to give Upper Cumberland families hands-on support while applying for federal student aid. Senior Outreach Director Jason Seay said they have always had FAFSA workshops at high schools and colleges throughout the state but families need more support this year. Seay said last year’s revamping of the system has led to technical issues and some parental concerns.
