65-year-old man killed in ATV crash in rural eastern Nebraska
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Murray man was killed Monday in an ATV crash in rural eastern Nebraska, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office says. First responders were sent around 5:50 p.m. near 12th Avenue and Baxter Loop, just south of Beaver Lake, on a report of a man pinned under an ATV.
GIPD says drunk teens kicked, threatened to kill officers
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — Two teenage boys are facing charges in Grand Island after police say they were violent toward officers. It happened just before midnight on Tuesday in the central part of town. Police say two 17-year-old boys were drunk. According to a news release, one boy pulled away and kicked officers. The other threatened to kill the officers and their families.

Woman cited in deadly crash west of Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was cited Tuesday in a deadly crash west of Lincoln earlier this year, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says. Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said the 84-year-old woman was charged on suspicion of misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide in the crash on May 29.

REPORT: Top tackle to take final visits before commitment
According to a recent report, the top offensive tackle in the class of 2025 may take a series of final visits before announcing his commitment next month. David Sanders Jr. will announce his decision on August 17th. Sanders will decide between Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Nebraska. Steve Wiltfong of the On3 Network has reported that the tackle will make his announcement after a series of final visits. The tackle, a five-star prospect, plays for Providence Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina. Nebraska was a late addition to Sanders’s recruitment process. When he announced it back in March, the Cornhuskers were left off his top six, but a visit to the Lincoln campus in May appears to have made an impression. The Huskers hope to get the five-star recruit on campus before August 17. Kansas defensive end to visit Nebraska on July 27
A defensive end from Kansas has scheduled a visit with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Hunter Higgins will visit the Lincoln campus on July 27. His visit will come just days after his July 25 visit to the Oklahoma Sooners. The three-star prospect plays for Maize South High School in Wichita, Kansas. National recruiting analyst Tom Lemming had high praise for Higgins last December. He wrote, (Higgins) should be become a national recruit. Excellent length, quick hands and feet and shows explosive moves to the ball. Tenacious and tough. Terrific attitude. 3.9 GPA. The recruit has been a popular player recently.
