Severe weather rips through Custer County, causes power outages
Broken Bow, Neb. (KNOP) - Severe weather ripped through Custer County Tuesday evening knocking down power lines and leaving residents without electricity. A storm spotter observed a tornado a few miles west of the city, causing the National Weather Service to issue a tornado warning around 6:55 p.m. By 7:30 p.m., powerful winds tore through the roof of a dance studio on 5th Avenue in Broken Bow.
Cooling temperatures on Tuesday along with some rain
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Tri-Cities saw a hint of rain this morning as the remnants of some thunderstorms passed through. These storms were not severe, and typically didn’t even contain much lightning or thunder. That won’t be true for later today, though. We’ll see chances for thunderstorms (some of which could be severe) again on Tuesday night, Wednesday Morning, as well as Wednesday night.
Deputies find meth, revolver while serving search warrant at Beatrice home
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Three people were arrested Friday after a drug bust at a home in Beatrice, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office says. Around 12:15 p.m., deputies — along with the Beatrice Police Department — served a search warrant at a home near 16th and Market streets.
