LOVES PARK, Ill. (WTVO) — The Ski Broncs hit the water after weeks of canceling shows all summer due to no wake orders for the Rock River.

“It’s just nice to provide entertainment for families, free entertainment at that for our community, and just give people something to go out and do on a Wednesday or Friday night,” said announcer and skier Jason Enderle.

Due to no wake orders, the team has not been able to practice in the water but they have made do.

“[We] do land practices where we come down here with our team and we practice building pyramids,” said Treasurer Duane Beggs. “We were blessed this year to be able to go out to Rocky Glen to use their quarry as an alternate site.”

“We can all be proud of what we put on the water, especially even though in a hard summer like this with very little limited time,” Enderle said. “I think we still have a really good show. I’m proud of what we’re doing out there. I enjoy working with this team and I think everybody definitely shows that they want to be here.”

The team finally got out on the water with a bleacher full of fans to entertain.

“We love doing shows where community and we love just helping out where we can and who we can and just spreading the love of water skate,” said a Membership Director Maleah Beggs.

The Ski Broncs is a non-profit run strictly on the love of water skiing and donations. Staff said through show and tournament cancelations, they have lost thousands of dollars. If interested in supporting them go to their website .
