Metro Meteor: The Painting Retired Race Horse
Once sleek and fast, Metro Meteor was a star on the Belmont and Saratoga racetrack. He was bred as a racehorse and was sold to ObviouslyNYStables as their first racehorse. Considered to be one of the fastest turf spinners, Metro won his first race at the age of two. Metro began experiencing bone chips in his knees and underwent two surgeries to have them removed. Each time, he recovered and returned to the racetrack. In total, Metro won eight races in his career. However, his knees became bad and eventually Metro was forced to retire in 2009 from his successful racing and riding career.

It all starts with going out in the field and making your own fresh cut. Organizers say to expect an overabundance of blooms. There will also be a photographer on hand to capture the overall experience. In addition to all the flower picking, there will also be coffee, mimosas, and pastries served. Cyclists tour the Lake Michigan shoreline to raise money for leukemia research
STURGEON BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - 1,000 cyclists took to the shores of Lake Michigan this weekend to raise money for research on leukemia. The Scenic Shore Bike Tour started Saturday in Mequon and wrapped up on Sunday, with cyclists each riding 150 miles. The ride benefitted The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, with cyclists of all ages gathering for the ride.
Phish Plays Spectacular 41-Minute ‘Simple’ On Night 2 At Alpine Valley
While Phish‘s first set at Alpine Valley in East Troy, Wisconsin last night was well played, it hinted at a “Saturday Night Special,” the type of show heavy on the total number of songs and light on jams. The second set was a completely different story as the closing frame of the band’s second of three shows at the Midwest venue was highlighted by an outrageous 41-minute version of “Simple” that was as strong as it was long.
