Medical issue prevents Tony Randazzo from umpiring Marlins-Brewers game
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Umpire Tony Randazzo didn’t work the Miami Marlins-Milwaukee Brewers game on Sunday afternoon because of what was described as a non-life-threatening medical issue. The nature of Randazzo’s issue wasn’t specified. Randazzo was expected to be the first-base umpire for Sunday’s game. The Marlins-Brewers game had a three-man umpiring crew instead, with scheduled second-base umpire Alex Tosi moving over to first. Randazzo, 59, has been an MLB umpire since 1999.

Once sleek and fast, Metro Meteor was a star on the Belmont and Saratoga racetrack. He was bred as a racehorse and was sold to ObviouslyNYStables as their first racehorse. Considered to be one of the fastest turf spinners, Metro won his first race at the age of two. Metro began experiencing bone chips in his knees and underwent two surgeries to have them removed. Each time, he recovered and returned to the racetrack. In total, Metro won eight races in his career. However, his knees became bad and eventually Metro was forced to retire in 2009 from his successful racing and riding career.

Cyclists tour the Lake Michigan shoreline to raise money for leukemia research
STURGEON BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - 1,000 cyclists took to the shores of Lake Michigan this weekend to raise money for research on leukemia. The Scenic Shore Bike Tour started Saturday in Mequon and wrapped up on Sunday, with cyclists each riding 150 miles. The ride benefitted The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, with cyclists of all ages gathering for the ride.
