Janesville man arrested for 6th OWI
JANESVILLE — A 55-year-old Janesville man was arrested on Friday night for resisting an officer and a sixth OWI. Janesville police officers stopped a vehicle late on Friday evening near the intersection of Mt. Zion Avenue and Milton Avenue for the registered owner having a suspended driver’s license. The vehicle owner, Ralph E. Cone Jr., was identified as the driver and displayed signs of impairment due to alcohol. Cone failed a field sobriety testing and was arrested. Cone resisted arrest and was subdued. Results are pending for a consented legal blood draw. Cone was taken to the Rock County Jail where he awaits a court hearing.

No injuries reported after plane makes emergency landing in Wisconsin
A 28-year-old Georgia pilot was uninjured Sunday after making an emergency landing in a farm field in Dodge County, sheriff’s officials said. The man was traveling back to Georgia from the EAA show in Oshkosh when he began losing power to his single-engine plane, officials said. The pilot of a second plane traveling with the disabled aircraft also landed safely in the field to check on the first pilot’s safety.
