LOWELLVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) – Carchedi’s Cafe in Lowellville is closing its day-to-day operations.

Owner Mike Romeo Jr. says it’s due to inconsistent business and staffing. He says he’s working on re-imagining the East Water St. restaurant and plans on catering and opening for large events.

Romeo has owned the restaurant since 2018.

Carchedi’s started in 1963 out of a Lowellville local’s home, cooking meals to feed men leaving their steel mill shifts.
