The news comes less than two weeks after Dahl was designated for assignment by the club and declined a minor league deal. Dahl, 30, batted .207 with three home runs and eight RBIs in 19 games with the Phillies this season. He has played in just 23 games over the past three major league seasons. Dahl elected free agency after he was designated for assignment on July 9. He was assigned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
