A former Philadelphia cop who shot dead an unarmed 12-year-old boy in 2022 and eventually pleaded guilty was sentenced Monday to eight to 12 years in prison. Walker & Dunlop Provides $286M Refi for Temple University Student Housing
The Goldenberg Group has secured $285.5 million to refinance two student housing properties near the campus of Temple University in Philadelphia. Walker & Dunlop provided a seven-year, fixed-rate Freddie Mac (FMCC) loan for Vantage, a 19-story, 368-unit student housing property that opened in 2019, while Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners (WDIP) provided a preferred equity investment on the deal. Total proceeds between the agency debt and preferred equity investment amount to $176 million – $134.09 million through Freddie Mac and $41.9 million from WDIP equity.
OF David Dahl returns to Phillies on minor league deal
Outfielder David Dahl is back in the Philadelphia Phillies organization on a minor league contract, The Athletic reported Monday. The news comes less than two weeks after Dahl was designated for assignment by the club and declined a minor league deal. Dahl, 30, batted .207 with three home runs and eight RBIs in 19 games with the Phillies this season. He has played in just 23 games over the past three major league seasons. Dahl elected free agency after he was designated for assignment on July 9. He was assigned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Over seven career seasons, Dahl is a career .268 hitter with 46 homers and 169 RBIs in 350 games with the Colorado Rockies (2016, 2018-20), Texas Rangers (2021), San Diego Padres (2023) and Phillies.
