The Phillies sent relief pitcher Seranthony Domínguez and outfielder Cristian Pache to the Orioles in exchange for Hays. It is anticipated that Hays will platoon with Brandon Marsh in left field. However, Hays is not a player that has been heavily connected to the Phillies in recent weeks.
