Woman hits, spits on state trooper
Danville, Pa. — A Danville woman hit a state trooper in the head and spit on him as he was processing her for a previous incident. Trp. Joel Zimmerman says on July 21 a trooper was processing Isabella Mannino, 21, for an incident in Mahoning Township when she allegedly hit him in the left side of the head. Mannino then spit on the trooper's chin and neck. Mannino was charged with felony aggravated assault, assault of a law enforcement officer, misdemeanor resisting arrest, and summary harassment. Charges were filed at the office of District Judge William W. Wilt III, who set bail at $20,000. Mannino's preliminary hearing is set for July 30 at Wilt's office. Docket Sheet
Deadline to register for Introduction to Genealogy Coming Soon
LOCK HAVEN – Friday, August 2, 2024, is the deadline to register for the three-part “Introduction to Genealogy” classes to be conducted from 1 to 3 PM on August 5, 6, and 8, at the Ross Library, 232 West Main Street, Lock Haven. The classes are a joint project of the library and Clinton County Genealogical Society. Pre-Registration is required for the class. LHU Football adds 14 transfer student-athletes to fall 2024 roster
LOCK HAVEN – Lock Haven head football coach Dan Mulrooney and the Bald Eagles have announced the addition of 14 transfer student-athletes to the fall 2024 roster. “We are very excited about these players joining our team this upcoming season,” Coach Mulrooney said. “They all have playing experience that will help our roster and our competition level right away. The transfer portal has been good to us with success stories like Chris Collier, Cody Romano and T’iar Young. The best is yet to come with this group.”

Teens bring new life to library grounds with garden
