Flag raising ceremony to honor Women Veteran Tribute in Lubbock

LUBBOCK, Texas — A flag-raising ceremony honoring the sacrifices of women across the South Plains, Lubbock’s first veteran tribute, will take place on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at James Morgan Ltd.’s Liberty Park, according to a press release.

The ceremony will also mark the beginning of the construction of the Women Veterans Tribute. James Morgan Ltd. donated the land, architect and labor required for the construction.

The community is encouraged to attend the event to show their support for women veterans.
