    Ex-Lubbock daycare worker pleads not guilty to making child pornography, trial date set

    LUBBOCK, Texas — A former Lubbock daycare employee accused of recording sexual content of minors, Nautica Blu Hamilton, 20, pleaded not guilty in federal court on Friday. A trial date was set for August 5.

    Hamilton was indicted in the federal court on June 12 for Production and Attempted Production of Child Pornography. Federal court documents said it happened from May 1, 2023, to about July 27, 2023.

    According to federal court documents, Hamilton was accused of persuading or enticing minors to “engage in sexually explicit conduct.” Court documents said Hamilton knew the content would be distributed or sent to someone else. Family members said there were two victims.
