    Lubbock Cajun spots to add some spice to your meal

    LUBBOCK, Texas—Lubbock has a wide variety of restaurants, and Cajun food is definitely on that list. If you are ever in the mood for crawfish, a po’boy, or anything of the sort, here’s a list of places you and the whole family can go.

    Jazz, A Louisiana Kitchen

    Rated a 3.5 out of 5 stars, Jazz, A Louisiana Kitchen has been serving Cajun dishes for 38 years. Jazz strives to bring genuine, New Orleans French Quarter Café Cajun/Creole Cuisine where you can truly embody the Cajun phrase “Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler” (Let the Good Times Roll).

    Jazz serves a variety of appetizers, lunch, and dinner options, including Po’boys and pasta, and drinks as a refreshment. It’s hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Jazz is located at 3703 19 th Street.

    Razzoo’s Cajun Café

    Rated a 3.5 out of 5 stars, Razzoo’s Cajun Café offers a plethora of appetizers, lunch, and dinner options, with drinks to compliment. They specialize in authentic Cajun food, but if you are not feeling that, they also serve simple salads and sandwiches.

    Razzoo’s hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and Razzoo’s is located at 4805 South Loop 289.

    Gator’s Bayou

    Rated a 3 out of 5 stars, Gator’s Bayou has tried to create a fun, Louisiana style atmosphere for everyone. Gator’s Bayou offers a multitude of appetizers, brunch, lunch, and dinner options including burgers and fried chicken. Gator’s Bayou’s hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. every day. Gator’s Bayou is located at 5712 98 th street.

    Crawdaddy’s Sports Bar & Grill

    Located at 5725 82nd Street, Crawdaddy’s Sports Bar & Grill offers an assortment of appetizers, lunch, and dinner options including sandwiches and salads. Crawdaddy’s hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. every day.

    River Smith’s Chicken & Catfish Restaurant

    Rated a 3.5 out of 5 stars, River Smith’s Chicken & Catfish Restaurant was established in 1976 in Lubbock, where it still resides to this day. River Smith’s offers more than just catfish and chicken, such as steaks and salads. Its hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. River Smith’s is located at 406 Avenue Q.

    Hot & Juicy Seafood & Bar

    Rated a 4.8 out of 5 stars, they offer meals of excellent quality and invite you to try out their delicious food. Hot & Juicy Seafood & Bar’s menu includes a mixture of appetizers, fried foods, specials, and more.

    Hot & Juicy hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 9:50 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sundays and is located at 5004 Frankford Avenue.

    Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar

    Rated 4.2 out of 5 stars, Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar forks with a genuine, down-home feel over bold flavors. Hook & Reel offers a variety of appetizers, entrees, and sides, including Po’boys and sliders. Hook & Reel’s hours of operation are 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Hook & Reel is located at 6201 Slide Road.
