    Lubbock police chase ends with crash early Sunday morning

    LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department said the Major Crash Unit is investigating after a police chase ended with a crash in the 3200 block of Avenue Q early Sunday morning.

    LPD said officers tried to pull over a vehicle in the 2200 block of Avenue V around 1:40 a.m.

    According to LPD, the driver refused to stop, and officers started a pursuit. Police said the chase ended after the vehicle was hit by another car in the intersection of 32nd Street and Avenue Q.

    Arrest made after shooting death of Lubbock teen

    One person had minor injuries and was treated on the scene by EMS.

    Police said Avenue Q was closed between 31st Street and 34th Street. Drivers were asked to avoid the area.
