    5.1 magnitude earthquake Friday morning shakes Lubbock

    LUBBOCK, Texas — Another earthquake shook Lubbock Friday morning around 9:30 a.m., confirmed by the United States Geological Survey website.

    It was confirmed that a 5.1 magnitude earthquake happened near Hermleigh, Texas, just southeast of Lubbock.

    EverythingLubbock.com reported on Monday, July 22, around 10:39 p.m. a magnitude 4.9 earthquake occurred between Snyder and Roby, Texas, just north of Highway 180. Friday morning’s earthquake occurred in the same area.
