Summer Showcase Concert features one of Lubbock’s ‘true guitar masters’

LUBBOCK, Texas — The Buddy Holly Center announced the continuation of its Summer Showcase Concert Series on Thursday, August 1 featuring Mark Wallney.

Concerts are every Thursday evening from May 16 through August 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Meadows Courtyard. Admission to the event is free and seating is available on a first-come first-serve basis.

Wallney is one of Lubbock’s true guitar masters, said the Buddy Holly Center. Wallney is an acoustic, folk and rock artist who was raised on the west coast and spent three years in Las Vegas before moving to Lubbock.
