Great White shark sighted in Scarborough
SCARBOROUGH — Scarborough Public Safety announced that a Great White Shark was spotted off the south tip of Richmond Island, Crescent Beach State Park, and Pine Point Beach. Scarborough's Marine Resource Officer received information that last Thursday, a commercial fisherman had seen what seemed to be a shark off Richmond Island. A similar sighting was made the next day off Crescent Beach in Cape Elizabeth by paddleboarders. The shark was also seen off Pine Point Beach in Scarborough that day.
