    Prescott boasts lovely weather, making it the ideal location for outdoor activities twelve months out of the year. The mercury rarely falls below freezing in winter and soars to an average of 80 degrees in summer. If you're not a fan of hiking or biking, don't worry--Prescott has plenty to offer indoors as well. You can explore one (or all) of the town's museums or peruse the many art galleries at your leisure. Prescott really does have something for everyone!

    Prescott is an excellent stop to make on a road trip through Arizona. In addition to Jerome (the largest ghost town in Arizona), Sedona (famously known for its unique red rocks), and Flagstaff, this little town is located 100 miles northwest of Phoenix. The city gets covered in Ponderosa pines, which earns it the nickname “Arizona’s Christmas City”. Over 100 trees light up the iconic courthouse and expansive plaza with an impressive display of Christmas lights!

    Among the most famous haunted hotels in Arizona is the Hassayampa Inn. Locals say it's inhabited by the ghost of a bride who died on her wedding day. A countable number have come forward with stories of seeing her apparition walking through corridors and even inside guest rooms!

There's something so satisfying about finding hidden treasures in antique stores, consignment shops, and garage sales. And Prescott has some great vintage stores downtown--worth checking out if you're ever in the area!

    Stay at a Haunted Hotel – HOTEL VENDOME.

    The Hotel Vendome, located in Prescott, has undergone many changes throughout the years, one of which being its proprietors. According to legend, a young woman by the name of Abby came to Prescott for treatment of tuberculosis. After she met and married her husband they eventually bought the hotel. However, after losing possession of it due to financial reasons they were allowed to stay in Room 16 by new owners if they managed it. Soon after their husband's sudden disappearance, Abbey was also nowhere to be found resulting in people speculating that her ghost roaming the halls of Vendome looked for him still today accountable for all the mysterious goings-on over the past years.

    I appreciate that Prescott Candy Company lets kids weigh and pick their candy because it makes monitoring their consumption much easier for me as a parent. If you're looking for somewhere fun to take the family - or even if you just want to feel like a kid again yourself - this is the place for you!

    A self-guided walking tour of downtown Prescott is the perfect activity for kids and adults alike. You'll be able to explore all sorts of historical landmarks and cultural attractions. Pick up a History Hunt map from the Visitor Center so you can keep track of everything, then get ready for an educational and fun outing!
