(EDITOR’S NOTE: Jim Suda was born Feb. 22, 1939, in Dorothy Patch, just south of Latrobe on Route 981. From age 3 to 21, he lived in First Ward at 339 Miller St., with his father Frank, mother Caroline and sister Carolyn, who married Gerry Klimchock. Jim attended Latrobe public schools for grades 1 through 12, graduating in 1956. He was a “dayhop” student at St. Vincent College, graduating in 1960 with a B.S. in management. He met his wife Mimzy at his first job with the U.S. Air Force. Jim and his wife have a daughter, Kelly, who is a 1982 graduate of Greater Latrobe High School.
