Andrea Fairley, from Newtown, MO, has been selected as North Central Missouri College’s Outstanding Student for July. She is a Missouri A+ scholarship student enrolled in the nursing program. After graduating from NCMC, Andrea plans to transfer to the University of Missouri-Columbia to obtain a master’s degree in medicine or even a doctorate. Woman killed, juvenile injured after being hit by car in Phelps County
ST JAMES, Mo. — A pedestrian was killed and another was hospitalized after being struck while crossing the highway in St. James. According to a post from the St. James Police Department, a 31-year-old woman and a juvenile were crossing the roadway at about 9 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of North Jefferson Street and State Highway B, located just off of Interstate 44.
