Suicide prevention efforts lead to shooting
MCINTOSH CO – The GBI are investigating an officer involved shooting following an E911 call with suicidal comments. At the request of the McIntosh County Sheriff’s Office, GBI agents are investigating an officer involved shooting in Townsend, McIntosh County, Georgia. Allen Barrett, age 75, of Townsend, GA, was shot and injured in the incident. No deputies were injured during the incident.
