Get ready for multiple days of rain, possibly heavy at times
NEW ORLEANS — There is the potential for a few coastal showers this morning, but the early portion of the morning commute will stay mostly quiet. Scattered showers move in after 9 a.m., impacting the east side of the coast and then moving west throughout the morning and afternoon. Heavy downpours are possible as some areas will see rain over the same spot for hours at a time. A lot of this will linger over into the evening and early night hours.
