ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A St. Louis man pleaded guilty Thursday to murdering his girlfriend in 2022. David L. Harvey pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, burglary, abandonment of a corpse and evidence tampering in the death of Carolyn Jenkins, 63. In the plea agreement with prosecutors, the murder charge against Harvey was amended from first-degree.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Investigations are underway after a man was shot and killed at a south St. Louis White Castle on Wednesday night. Police say the shooting happened at a White Castle in the 3600 block of Gravois Avenue around 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Responding police say they found a man in his early 20s lying in the parking lot of the restaurant, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead at the scene; his identity has not yet been released.

(KCTV) - Kansas City and the Kansas City Police Department will pay a Prairie Village, Kansas, man $4.124 million to settle a wrongful death lawsuit over the death of his wife five years ago. That settlement is expected to be officially approved by the Finance Committee on Thursday.
