LANSING – Lily Wilkin has four old phones tucked away in her closet and no plans to recycle them. “I keep them for nostalgia,” she said. Wilkin works at Best Buy, the nation’s largest retail collector of electronic waste — from CRT TVs to hard drives to fans. Michigan students report bullying and suicide attempts at higher rate to tip line
The state’s confidential tip line that allows students to report bullying, suicide and school shooting threats among other items has experienced a significant increase. A total of 9,686 confidential tips were reported across 30 categories in 2023 to OK2SAY, Michigan’s State Police-ran student safety program. That total accounted for a 31% increase from 2022.

First Zeeland Citizens Academy Graduates to be Honored on Monday Night
