Crews recover 1 person, searching for 2nd after drowning in Sheyenne River
FORT RANSOM, N.D. (KFGO) – Ransom County Sheriff Darren Benneweis says two kayakers drowned after going over the Fort Ransom Dam on the Sheyenne river Sunday afternoon. A number of units responded to the call around 4 p.m., and one victim was recovered late yesterday. Efforts are underway today to recover the second victim.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) - The man arrested after a SWAT standoff at a Grand Forks apartment building is being held without bail. Collin Posey, 32, was in court Monday on a number of state and federal charges. Drowning death reported on Lake Sakakawea
MCLEAN COUNTY, N.D. (KMOT) – A 35-year-old Ryder man drowned while swimming in Lake Sakakawea on Saturday, according to the McLean County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators said they received a 911 call just after 1 p.m. of a swimmer overtaken by water and failing to surface roughly seven miles south of White Shield.
