Kinston, MA Church Vandalized and Set Ablaze; Suspect from Plymouth Faces Arson and Property Destruction Charges
In the quiet hours of July 4th, the Kingston Police Department was summoned to the First Parish Unitarian Church on Main Street following reports of vandalism and arson. According to a statement released by the department, they found considerable damage inflicted overnight. Handcrafted 200-year-old shutters were torn apart, antique windows were shattered, and the church's interior bore the hostilities of fire extinguisher discharge. More disturbing, perhaps, are the "Pride" and "Black Lives Matter" flags found burned, suggesting targeted malice.
