Uh-Oh: Rock Springs Gas Station Mixes Up Diesel And Gasoline
At least 17 vehicles have been contaminated after a fuel station in Rock Springs, Wyoming, mistakenly switched its supplies of unleaded and diesel fuel, locals have confirmed. The Kum & Go on Foothill Boulevard, which is now owned by Maverik, was running diesel through its premium unleaded pump and unleaded through its diesel pump last Tuesday and Wednesday, according to a repair shop employee who tried to help remedy the damages after the mix-up.

Green River Arts Council to Host 24 Hour Art Competition on August 16 and 17
The Green River Arts Council and the City of Green River Parks and Recreation Department are excited to host the 19th annual Art on the Green 24 hour live art competition. Professional, semi-professional, amateur/hobbyist and high school artists from around the region compete in 2D and 3D categories and have 24 hours to create their artwork from beginning to end. The competition is held at the Historic Pavilion at Expedition Island, 475 South 2nd East, and begins Friday, August 16 at 11:00 a.m. Contestants have until 11:00 a.m. the next day to complete their work. The public is invited to be firsthand witness of amazing art creations from start to finish. The event runs concurrently with the popular River Festival celebration at Expedition Island Park and is free to the public to attend.
Hazy, hot days ahead for Gillette this week
GILLETTE, Wyo. — Hazy days are here thanks to wildfires burning in and around Wyoming. Smoke has filled the Wyoming sky and made the horizon murky. That smoke could cause breathing issues for those sensitive to such environmental changes. CASPER, Wyo. — The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming is celebrating its 55th anniversary, and to mark the occasion it will be raffling off a restored pickup truck. The truck is a 1979 Ford F-250, donated to the club by supporter Kelly Wenzel and rebuilt by Legacy Classic Trucks. According to the Boys & Girls Club, the truck is valued at $170,000 following its restoration.

CASPER, Wyo. — Casper resident Cole Allen Paulsen died Saturday in a car-on-motorcycle crash, and a fundraiser has been established to help his family.
