MISSING JUVENILE ALERT: Hopkinsville Police seek help finding missing teenager
HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Hopkinsville Police Department is trying to locate 14-year-old Jordan White who has been missing for a week. White was last seen leaving his home at the Pennryrile Apartments on July 15. He made contact with family on July 17 through Snapchat and has not been heard from since.
Webb heads into Calloway AD tenure quite familiar with its programs
MURRAY — Many people may find it very strange that longtime Calloway County athletics coach Troy Webb is actually not a Laker alum. He actually comes from Muhlenberg County — long-since-departed Muhlenberg Central, to be exact, near Greenville —where he played baseball and basketball and ran on the cross-country team. Webb also has a well-known Kentucky coach to call as a former teammate for Muhlenberg’s American Legion baseball team back in the late 1970s, Ray Harper (who played at tiny Bremen, one of eight campuses that eventually formed the current Muhlenberg County High School), current Jacksonville State head men’s basketball coach, who also won two NCAA Division 2 national titles at Kentucky Wesleyan in Owensboro.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Bartlett-based company's eclipse glasses are in the final round of the "Coolest Thing Made in Tennessee" 2024 contest. The Tennessee Chamber and Tennessee Manufacturers Association(TMA), partnered with the University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services, Chattanooga Regional Manufacturers Association and Smart Factory Institute Tennessee to launch the contest.

State offering $2 million in grants for historic restoration/rehab projects
NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Historical Commission announced a new grant to help cover the cost of restoring National Register-listed historic properties in the state. Overall, $2 million is available from the Historic Property/Land Acquisition Fund (HPLAF) Grant Program this year. Applications are open now through Aug. 31. The grants are competitive and can be used for historic restoration or rehabilitation projects for National Register-listed properties that have a public benefit. ...
