Pinpoint Weather: Warm today with showers and storms

ROANOKE, Va. ( WFXR ) – Showers and storms are possible today with the Storm Prediction Center putting areas along and south of 460 in the Marginal risk category, which is the lowest. The greatest through would come from damaging wind and periods of heavy rainfall.

The precipitation will move through the day and into the early evening. Showers are possible late in the day on Friday. There is a Flood Watch in effect this evening for an area east of a line from Lynchburg to Martinsville.

For this afternoon, our high temperatures will be close to normal and, except for Saturday, remain around normal.

After today’s scattered showers and storms, Friday will be dry for most of us. More showers come in on Saturday and remain off and on throughout next week.

Temperatures this weekend will vary with more widespread showers on Saturday and scattered showers and storms on Sunday.
