Fulton resident Barbara Mask will share a PowerPoint presentation about the origin of Dutch Days during a free program at Morrison’s Heritage Museum on Sunday, August 25. Mask will talk about the popular festival, first started in 1974, that now attracts thousands of visitors to Fulton during the first full weekend in May. She’ll also be referencing the numerous descendants of Cornelius Vogel, including herself. In 1881, the Vogel family – including a dozen children – emigrated from the Netherlands. They all moved to Union Grove and then relocated to Morrison. Members of the Vogel “clan,” as Mask calls them, are especially invited to this presentation.
