LYNN HAVEN — A band known for its dynamic sound is slated to take the stage in an upcoming event at a local park.

In a press release on Wednesday, Lynn Haven officials announced the band 12Eleven will perform at the city's annual Music By The Bay event on Aug. 9. The concert will be held from 7-9 p.m. at Leslie Porter Park, 200 Michigan Ave.

"(The group) is a radiant, energetic and dynamic pop/R&B band with a vast range of cathartic and dance-worthy songs," the release reads. "The main ingredients to 12Eleven's vibe are their warm vocals, infectious grove and fresh sound."

The concert will be free to the public, and it will be held within the park next to Bailey Bridge. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. They also can pull in their boats to listen from North Bay.

That said, the boat ramp at the park will be closed Aug. 9, so boaters will have to launch and dock from another area.

In addition to performances from 12Eleven, the event also will boast food vendors.

"We love Music By The Bay because it's a great event to celebrate the end of summer, before our children return to schools," Vickie Gainer, city manager of Lynn Haven, said in the release. "I invite everyone to come out and hear 12Eleven perform. I know that will put on a fantastic show."
