Review hearing, prelim ahead in Lyon County vehicular murder case
A review hearing has been set in a vehicular murder case stemming from a crash near Emporia over a year ago. Adonis Dailey was set for a review hearing Wednesday but failed to appear, according to the Kansas District Court Public Access Portal. The rescheduled review will be July 10, ahead of Dailey’s preliminary hearing July 23.
County Commission approves zoning moratorium during regular action meeting Thursday
Lyon County Commissioners have hit the pause button on zoning matters related to medical facilities possibly until next year. As part of their regular action meeting Thursday morning, commissioners voted unanimously to approve a resolution establishing a moratorium that suspends all applications related to zoning, land use, and building permitting for medical facilities. As you may recall, this is not the first zoning matter related to medical facilities to be taken up by local government over the past year.
