A Dayton man is facing a domestic battery charge after he prompted an hours-long search and shelter-in-place advisory late Thursday night. Lyon County deputies say they initially responded to a report of a disturbance on Brookfield Court around 10 p.m. when they learned that the suspect, 49-year-old Paul Carnahan had left the home injured and armed with a knife.

A Flood Watch is posted for the Truckee Meadows, including southern Washoe County, Carson, Douglas, Lyon, Mono, and Mineral Counties through Wednesday evening because of strong thunderstorms.
