Tender and delicious baby back ribs are easy to prepare when you use your oven to cook them. You don't have to boil the ribs or even marinate them if you don't have the time. In fact, you can prepare an entire barbecue-style meal without lighting any charcoal or going outside. If you don't have a barbecue pit, this is the perfect way to cook ribs.

    Ingredients

    • 1 o 2 slabs of pork baby back ribs
    • 1 bottle of barbecue sauce, flavor of choice
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350º F.
    2. Rinse the ribs and remove cartilage from the back by making a snip in the skin and then pulling it off.
    3. Lay ribs in a rectangular baking pan, season as desired, and coat with barbecue sauce.
    4. Cover the pan with aluminum foil and place it in the oven.
    5. Lower the heat to 300º F and bake for about 3 hours until meat is nearly falling off the bone.
    6. Remove the aluminum foil and brush a little more barbecue sauce onto the ribs.
    7. Place back in the oven and continue to cook for about 20 more minutes.
    8. Remove from oven and let rest for about 10 minutes before slicing the ribs into serving sizes (about 3 to 4 bones per serving).

Baby back ribs go well with any combination of baked macaroni & cheese, potato salad, coleslaw, pasta salad, garden salad, fruit salad, or baked beans. Delicious with iced cold lemonade.

The outdoor pit is the only place I’d cook ribs, steak seasoning, after they done I smear a coating of sweet Memphis sauce ( which I make) and sear over the flame. Honey always gives a light slap on my ass when I’m done. He loves them !
