    Surge Entertainment By Drew Brees Coming to Former Winn-Dixie on Burbank Drive

    The former Winn-Dixie Supermarket at 5555 Burbank Drive in Baton Rouge is currently being refurbished to house a family entertainment center called Surge Entertainment Park. Owned and operated by former New Orleans Saints quarterback, Drew Brees, his wife, Brittany Brees, and their business partner, Clay Risenmay, the venue is set to open by the end of the year.

    A member of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), Surge Entertainment has 11 locations in Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, and Virginia. There are plans to open 20 more by the end of 2025. The company partners with local charities and non-profit organizations to support a variety of causes in the communities it serves. Serge Entertainment by Drew Brees has additional Louisiana locations in Metairie, Lafayette, West Monroe, and Bossier City, as well as a location in Mobile, Alabama.

    In addition to cutting-edge entertainment, fitness, and sports, Surge hosts birthday parties, corporate & private events, and youth programs. Offering a variety of options and menu choices, packages include organization, set up, food, drinks, utensils, clean up, and a gift for the birthday VIP. Outside food is not allowed except for the cake or cupcakes.

    The company's highly trained staff must complete classroom education, video presentations, group discussions, and emergency safety drills to ensure guests can enjoy a fun and safe experience. Scheduled maintenance helps keep facilities clean and safe for all to enjoy.
