Blue Store

Specializing in fried chicken wings, Blue Store has become very popular in Baton Rouge. There are currently at least seven stores operating in the city with a new one opening soon.

"Blue Store has the best fried chicken, no competition," one responder commented.

Chicken Shack

Although the Chicken Shack on Highland Road recently closed, there are still three other locations around town, and they are big favorites among locals. With its delicious crunchy coating, fried chicken from Chicken Shack is unmatched according to responders.

"Chicken Shack, hands down," was a common response when the question was asked.

S & Y Grocery

Located on Scenic Highway in Baton Rouge, it appears S & Y Grocery is very popular with people who love fried chicken.

"Truck drivers line up and walk across four lanes of traffic to get this fried chicken. It's that good."

Golden Chick

Golden Chick has only one location in Baton Rouge, on Airline Highway, and it's actually the only one in the state. Fried chicken connoisseurs think it's the best.

"All the other fried chicken restaurants can't beat Golden Chick."

Church's Fried Chicken

Several Church's Fried Chicken locations around town have closed down, but there are still a few left and they continue to be very popular.

"While I love all fried chicken, Church's on Government Street is my favorite. The chicken is hot and delicious every time, and the rice dressing is phenomenal."
