Celebrate music, Native American culture, poboys, and the upcoming Christmas holidays this weekend throughout Louisiana.
Heading into Thanksgiving week, we have several festivals going on that focus on the time of year.
Yeah You Right Music Festival - Morgan City - November 17, 18, 19
2300 Highway 70
Located at the Victor Guarisco Lake End Park, the second annual Yeah You Right Music Festival features local and regional Country, R&B, Rock, and Swamp Pop acts and songwriters. Dedicated to saluting our veterans, this family-friendly event offers live music, a kiddie corner, food vendors, crafts vendors, a silent auction, a corn hole tournament, and more.

Native American Culture Day - Lafayette - November 18
300 Fisher Road
Vermilionville is the setting for the annual Native American Culture Day. This free event celebrates the rich history and modern culture of the tribes and tribal communities within the boundaries of Louisiana. Tribes from across the state will share their stories, music, dance, drumming, language, crafts, and culture.
Hours are 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Oak Street Po-Boy Festival - New Orleans - November 19

The Oak Street Po-Boy Festival happens on Sunday, November 19 in New Orleans. Celebrating the humble poboy sandwich, the festival hosts 40 food and beverage vendors, live music on multiple stages, art, a kids' zone, and lots of fun.

Hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The festival is free, but wristbands are required to purchase a poboy.
Logansport Christmas Festival - Logansport - November 18 through December 31
192 Elm Street
The Logansport Christmas Festival kicks off on Saturday, November 18, at 12:00 PM. Food and craft vendors, a car show, live entertainment, a parade, fireworks, and lighting of the Christmas lights mark the beginning of the holiday season. Kids can enjoy a holiday train and a visit with Santa. The lights will remain on until after the first of the year.
Natchitoches Christmas - Natchitoches - November 18 through January 6

The 97th annual Natchitoches Christmas Festival of Lights begins on Saturday, November 18. Over 300,000 lights and more than 100 set pieces are on display every night at dusk.
Weekend activities include the Festival of Lights parade, fireworks over Cane River, a lighted boat parade, musical entertainment, food vendors, a Christmas tour of homes, Gospel night on the riverbank, a Holiday kid's fest, arts & crafts vendors, holiday shopping, and so much more.
Festival armbands are $10 each. The festival is free for children 6 and under.
Holiday Market at the Mill - New Roads - November 17 & 18
311 Mill Street
The refurbished Cotton Mill in Downtown New Roads is the setting for the annual Holiday Market at the Mill. The two-day shopping event features vendors, craftsmen, and artisans selling pottery, garden items, glassware, jewelry, wooden furniture, decorative items, antiques, and gifts for everyone on your list.
Hours are 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Friday, November 17, and 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, November 18. General admission is $5.
