    Enjoy Cajun Food, Cajun Music, Meat Pies, Butterflies, Jazz, Blues, and The Good Old Days this weekend in Louisiana.

    Cooler temperatures are on the horizon, but fall festival season is heating up. These are the festivals happening in Louisiana this weekend.

    Cajun Food Fest - Lydia - September 13 & 14

    7205 Weeks Island Road

    The 19th Annual Lydia Cancer Association Food Fest happens at Weeks Park in Lydia. There will be lots of delicious Cajun food, music, fun jumps for the kids, a car show, and a crafts show.

    Musical acts include:

    • The Hands of Time
    • Seasoned Soul
    • Corny & Friends
    • Curley Taylor & Zydeco Trouble
    • Quarter Shots Band
    • The Bad Boys Band
    • Highway 90

    Hours are 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Friday and 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Saturday.

    Mamou Cajun Music Festival - Mamou - September 13 & 14

    98 Main Street

    Cajun music and games highlight the 51st Mamou Cajun Music Festival at the Mamou Recreational Center Complex.

    Bands include:

    • Cajun Strong avec Jason Babineaux
    • Wayne Toups, Jamey Bearb & Cajun Friends
    • Old Fashioned Aces
    • Balfa Toujours
    • 4 Horses
    • Kevin Naquin & Cajun Preservation
    • Geno Delafosse & French Rockin' Boogie

    The 2024 honoree is Dr. Barry Ancelet. Admission is $10 for those 12 and older.

    Natchitoches Meat Pie Festival - September 13 &14

    100 Rue Beauport Riverfront

    The 22nd Annual Natchitoches Meat Pie Festival happens on the riverfront in downtown Natchitoches, the Meat Pie Capital of Louisiana. There will be food, arts & crafts, children's activities, a play area, and a cornhole tournament.

    Musical guests include:

    • Geno Delafosse & French Rockin' Boogie
    • Born to Boogie
    • Loosey Anna
    • Katrice LaCour
    • Bad Moon Rising (Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute)
    • Double Trouble Zydeco Twins

    Admission is free.

    Butterfly Festival - Haynesville - September 14

    1563 Fairgrounds Drive

    The Claiborne Parish Fair Complex in Haynesville is the setting for the 26th Annual Butterfly Festival. Event highlights include butterfly exhibits, educational workshops, children's activities, an arts and crafts fair, food and refreshments, live music, and a butterfly parade.

    Highland Jazz & Blues Festival - Shreveport - September 14

    600 Columbia Street

    Columbia Park in Shreveport is the setting for the 20th Annual Highland Jazz & Blues Festival20th Annual Highland Jazz & Blues Festival.

    Blues and Jazz artists on two stages include:

    • Buddy Flett
    • Betty Lewis and The Executives
    • Lady Chops
    • Major Handy and The Louisiana Blues Band
    • Shreveport Bone Society

    • Creswell Blazin' Beats

    Hours are 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM. This is a free festival.

    Oldies But Goodies Fest - Port Allen - September 15

    2750 North Westport Drive

    The grounds of the West Baton Rouge Tourist Information & Conference Center is the setting for the 2024 Oldies But Goodies Fest. There will be an antique car show, crafters, LA food & beverage vendors, and live music from Justin Cornett followed by Swampland Revival.

    Hours are 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
