Happy Hour in Baton Rouge: Barracuda

Baton Rouge has some of the best places to enjoy a drink and a nibble after work. In this series, we'll discover some of them.

Barracuda Taco Stand at 2504 Government Street offers outdoor dining, beer, wine, classic cocktails, spirits, and great margaritas to enjoy with their award-winning tacos. It's a great place to unwind after a long day.

The deluxe nacho happy hour at Barracuda happens on weekdays from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Classic margaritas are $7, and beer is $3. Deluxe nachos with queso, salsa verde, pickled onions, crema, cilantro, and cotija cost $6. You can also get queso and chips with pepitas and pomegranate or three beef tacos for $6.

While there, don't shy away from the regular menu. Tacos are served on a soft flour tortilla with cilantro, onion, and lime (or not) plus your choice of chicken, mushrooms, beef, pork, crispy fish, or broccoli. Bowls can be created from any meat or vegetable on the menu.

In addition to Baton Rouge, Barracuda has locations in New Orleans and Algiers.
