Diamond Ashanti Dobbs, 22, of Mableton, is accused of assaulting a waitress with a steak knife on July 13 at 10:10 p.m. at the Applebee’s restaurant, 2728 Spring Road SE in Atlanta, near the intersection of Cobb Parkway and I-285, according to an arrest warrant from the Smyrna Police Department.

Dobbs was dining at the restaurant and got upset at the waitress for not being able to substitute a food item. Dobbs started throwing things at the victim then picked up a steak knife and followed her around the restaurant. The victim said Dobbs was holding the knife in her left hand in an aggressive manner as if she was going to stab her. The victim said that Dobbs followed her to the back of the restaurant and threw the knife at her before walking out of the restaurant and getting into a vehicle, according to the warrant.

While on scene, officers observed small specks of blood on the victim’s ear. Dobbs admitted to police that she picked up the knife on the table and stated she was going to poke the waitress with it. Dobbs also told officers she was upset about the situation and that the waitress was “hating on her,” according to the warrant.

Dobbs is charged with aggravated assault weapon. She was arrested July 13 at 10:30 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records.

Dobbs was released on a $6,500 bond.
