(WNY News Now) – Olean – Significant traffic delays are expected on East State Street in Olean as the Walkable Olean Phase III construction project progresses. Construction continues on East State Street from Front Street to North Union Street. Work at the Barry Street intersection will begin July 22nd. There will be significant traffic delays as it will be down to one lane traffic at times, detours will be in place through the completion of the project. According to documents filed July 12 in the Erie County Clerk's office, Equity Holdings of Cheektowaga LLC paid $18.5 million for the buildings with the footprint of the Cheektowaga shopping destination. The deal is one of the largest commercial transactions in Cheektowaga this year.
