Pennsylvania Invests in Job Training for People with Disabilities
HARRISBURG, PA — The Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) has announced a significant new investment aimed at enhancing job opportunities for Pennsylvanians with disabilities. On Wednesday, Secretary Rick Siger revealed that the Shapiro Administration is allocating $200,000 to the Community Integrated Services (CIS) Manufacturing Accelerator Program. This initiative aims to equip individuals with disabilities with the skills needed to secure employment in local manufacturing sectors.

More opportunities for cheap happy hour deals are coming to Pennsylvania restaurants and bars. Gov. Josh Shapiro signed a bill on Monday that amends the Liquor Code and bumps up the number of hours licensed establishments in the state can host happy hours from 14 to 24 hours a week. HARRISBURG, PA — Senator Vincent Hughes has announced substantial funding for affordable housing in Philadelphia’s 7th district. Over $5.9 million in Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) will support four new rental housing projects, bringing 163 affordable units to the area.
