Mackinac County motorcyclist dead after fleeing police, crashing
Mackinac County, Mich. - A Mackinac County man is dead after crashing his motorcycle while fleeing police at a high rate of speed. According to the WLUC-TV6 website, the accident happened Friday morning on M-123 at Castle Rock Road north of St Ignace. A Mackinac County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to pull over the speeding motorcycle just after 9am. According to the sheriff’s office, the motorcyclist had outstanding warrants. The motorcycle fled at speeds of over 100 mph and at Castle Rock Road it failed to negotiate a curve and went off the road. The driver was thrown from his motorcycle and sustained life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Mackinac Straits Health System where he was pronounced dead.

MACKINAC COUNTY, MI -- A motorcyclist who fled from police and hit speeds of 100 mph was killed Friday morning after he failed to navigate a curve and crashed. According to WLUC-6, the 38-year-old Mackinac County man was spotted speeding around 9:08 a.m. by a deputy with the Mackinac County Sheriff’s Office.
